Stockings

The Stockings were hung by the chimney with care. Just in time for St. Nicholas to fill them with goodies. A few things to show he cares; hot chocolate, peppermint sticks, goldfish crackers and bubble gum.

Nativity

I brought out the Children's Nativity today and the kiddos had a great time playing with the figures. I got some interesting questions... Why is Jesus' house a barn? Who is this baby? what do Shepherds do?

Christmas PJs

Nothing says Christmas like new Christmas PJ's. Snowmen and Santas, penguins and snowflakes. Grandma Rausch bought everyone matching ones this year. How cute you look in your winter PJ's.

Giving Thanks

It seems kind of strange how fast orange pumpkins and brown leaves can seem out of place. I started to collect all the decorations and crafts from Thanksgiving to make room for Christmas. I'm quite anxious to start decorating for Christmas but grateful we had such a blessed Thanksgiving.

December Daily

The first day of December daily, I wasn't sure if I should record the grey skies or the cleaning going on around the house. I did get a kick out of the kiddos last night. Both boys had taken a long nap and were having a hard time settling for the night. As I went in to check on them they were both laying in the same bed because it had better views of the neighborhood Christmas lights. They had been looking out the window at all the lights and oohing and aahing for a while now. When I came in they were pointing them all out to me. They especially liked the lights next door, however they were harder to see from the window.
